The Advisory Board of Veterans India is a distinguished body of leaders from defence, academia, corporate, governance, and social sectors, united by a shared mission to make Bharat a Vishwaguru.

As a nationally recognised patriotic organisation led by ex-servicemen, Veterans India drives landmark initiatives like the Volunteer Patriotic Reserve Force (VPRF), Pride of Nation Awards, and 18 specialised wings in youth leadership, sports, healthcare, education, and cultural preservation.

Name : Prof. (Dr) Sunil Pareek

Designation : Chife Advisor

Dr. Sunil Pareek is a Professor of Horticulture Postharvest Technology at NIFTEM, Kundli. He is shouldering the responsibility of Dean (PGS) and Coordinator (IQAC). He is a prolific writer, and editor and well known in his field as science communicator. His research goal is to reduce the food losses and increase the availability. He is deeply involved in the policy issues related to Agriculture, Education, and Research. Being a responsible citizen, he believes in Bhartiya culture, ethos, ancient glory of Bharat Mata and revival Bharat as Vishwa Guru. He is serving the nation beyond his duties as a teacher and researcher to social worker.

Name : Maj Gen G D Bakshi(SM) (Retd.)

Designation : Member

Brief Profile :Major General Gagan Deep Bakshi SM VSM (born 1950) is a retired Indian Army officer.Bakshi was commissioned in the Indian Army from IMA Dehradun in November 1971. He commanded the 6 Jammu and Kashmir Rifles. Bakshi was awarded the Vishisht Seva Medal for commanding a battalion in the Kargil War.[4] Later, he was awarded the Sena Medal for distinguished service in commanding a battalion during counter-insurgency drives.

Name : MAJ GEN K ESWARAN, VSM

Designation : Member

Brief Profile :Major General K Eswaran was a student of BITS Pilani, when he joined National Defence Academy in 1977 and was commissioned into The Regiment of Artillery. Later he got transferred to the Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (EME). He retired in 2017 after being with the Armed Forces for about forty years. He excelled in all courses and completed B Tech and M Tech with flying colours. Later he obtained post graduate Diploma in Multimedia and Animation. He is also a Fellow of Institute of Engineers India. During his illustrious career, he has held several appointments and specialised in Armoured Fighting Vehicles. He has actively participated in several operations. His last appointment was as Commandant of EME School at Baroda which is akin to a Vice Chancellor. He has been awarded Vishist Seva Medal by the President of India. He has also been awarded Chief of Army Staff Commendation, Twice and an Army Commander’s Commendation. He has been strong proponent of moral values and ethics in the Army. He has several articles to his credit on the subject. He also organized a seminar in Delhi on ‘National Character Building’ inviting H.E. Dr APJ Abdul Kalam in Dec 2010. It was attended by Officers of Delhi Area, Teachers and students of twelve schools in Delhi. Based on this seminar, he instituted ‘Character and Competence Award’ in about Delhi Area Schools. He also instituted similar awards in Army Base Workshop and Training Centre. Continuing his pursuit on value-based education, at Baroda, he organized several workshops on ‘Habits of Highly Effective People’ for all officers and men. This workshop gives deep insight into one’s own capability and makes one much more effective based on principles. It also ensures a good work life balance. After retirement he was looking for some NGO to work with but got the opportunity of being a Defence Banking Advisor of southern region in State Bank of India where he could help all serving and retired officers and men especially the widows of Armed Forces. After working for two and half years, he retired prematurely to spend full time in social service and Value based Education. He is the founder of Help and Serve Public Charitable Trust and has launched a social Service website for all Armed Forces people --www.helpandserve.in. It is mutual help platform. Presently he is a Social Activist and engaged in Value based education and Personality Development. He has been delivering lectures and conducting workshops at various institutions in Civil and Military. He is also a keen artist and spends time in oil paintings.

Brief Profile :CAPT B N SINGH is member, board of advisory committee of Veterans India. He has served the Nation for 36 years and after hanging the uniform he joins hands with Dr Binay Kumar Mishra and Brig R K Sharma (Sena Medal) to form a Nationalistic Association “Veterans India”. On consensus of same background people, the Veterans India association was Registered under Trust act in Delhi and working area is all India. The main aim of joining as Founder member was to utilize his expertise of 36 years of Military Service for improvement of social and economical status of under privileged section of society, Martyr’s Families and their children. His super skilled knowledge of 36 years in Engineering and Management area in Defence service in the Corps of Electronic & Mechanical Engineer entangle to enriching the Veterans India(Trust) to spread the thought of Nationalism & Patriotism in youth, students and common people of the society, also stream-line the thought process of rural youth to come forward to take part on sports & games to make our country from game loving country to game playing country. His multidimensional vision, through the platform of “Veterans India” is really executable and futuristic.

Name : SATVIR SINGH DESWAL

Satvir Singh Deswal, a distinguished Professor and Dean at Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology, Delhi, holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from NIT Kurukshetra, specializing in ride-through capabilities for adjustable speed drives. With over 20 years of experience, he has served as Head of Department, Associate Dean, and Guest Faculty at Delhi College of Engineering. His expertise spans power quality, electric drives, power systems, and renewable energy. Deswal has published 37 papers in prestigious international journals, including IEEE Transactions and Springer, and presented at 39 conferences. He supervises Ph.D. research and is Co-PI on DRDO and microelectronics projects worth ?41.1L. Honored with the Bharat Seva Ratna Award (2016) and Best Teacher Award (2008-09), he excels in teaching, research, and administration. As Remote Centre Coordinator for IIT workshops, he has coordinated 12 programs under MHRD. His administrative roles include academic council membership, exam management, and curriculum development. A member of IEEE, AMIE, and IAENG, Deswal is proficient in C, Pascal, and Fortran. Passionate about innovation, he drives institutional growth through strategic planning and cutting-edge technology, aiming to elevate organizations to global standards while mentoring students and fostering academic excellence.
