NATIONAL PRESIDENT

The National President shall dedicate himself in providing strong leadership to the organisation by working with trustees, patrons, senior vice presidents, vice presidents, committees and all members to establish plans, strategies, short and long-term goals. He will preside over the entire functioning including appointments, setting up committees, allocating responsibilities, managing budgets, etc. He shall make sure that resources are allocated properly and shall be responsible for overall accountability to Trustees and the general public. He will ensure all Wings functions as per the developed strategic plan. He will encourage investment in terms of time, intellect, funds and donation from the community and act as the public face of the organisation. His role encompasses:

The National President shall be the head of Veterans India and shall preside over all meetings of Veterans India. He shall guide the Veterans India in allactivities. He shall exercise superintendence over Office Bearers and the Members of the Executive Council and other Committees in discharging their duties. He shall have overall powers of supervision over the working of Veterans India and its efficient administration. The President shall have full powers to preserve order in all meetings and shall have all the powers and privileges which are generally vested in him under accepted parliamentary procedure.

Responsibilities:

(a) Create, communicate, and implement the organization's vision & mission: Make sure that direction is communicated on a level that allows all members to understand their individual roles and responsibilities.

(b) Lead, guide, direct, and evaluate the work of other senior leaders.

(c) Formulate and implement the strategic plan that guides the direction of the organisation.

(d) Meet regularly with senior office Bearers. With the participation of the senior team, make sure that decisions the organization needs are well-thought-out and timely. Use this team to spread ideas and direction throughout the organization until every member understands their expected role and responsibilities for contribution.

(e) Evaluate the success of the organization. Using a set of strategically important measures to determine the ongoing success—or lack of it—that the organization is experiencing.

(f) Represent the organization in civic and professional association responsibilities and activities: This might occur in the local community or at the state or even national level.

(g) Acts as the face of the organisation when dealing with state and local governments and the local community.

(h) Oversee the complete operation of the organisation ensuring it operates and goals are met based on the direction established in the strategic plans.

(i) Listening to the viewpoints and reports of the organisation's Vice Presidents or Secretaries and making the final decisions.

(j) Maintaining awareness and knowledge of the organisation's daily finances including overseeing budgets, analysing budgets and financial reports

(k) Looking for alliances, partnerships, and investment opportunities and reviewing and advising on contracts.

Following his voluntary retirement from the Air Force in 2009, Dr. Mishra ventured into entrepreneurship, founding ABS Land Growth Pvt. Ltd. His entrepreneurial journey not only ensured financial stability for his family but also enabled him to take on various roles of societal responsibility. Dr. Mishra's commitment to serving society extended into the realm of politics, where he held positions such as the Delhi Pradesh President of the Ex-Servicemen Department in the Congress party. His focus on welfare initiatives for ex-servicemen and their families showcased his multifaceted dedication to societal welfare.
